2011 Research Report

The Downtown Alliance has released some new stats that look at how people across the region feel about SLC. This data compares results from 2009 and 2012 studies and indicates some surprising, new patterns in how people feel about downtown.

Dining remains the most popular reason to visit downtown, followed by shopping, and then religious services. Performance arts, sports events, community events, and festivals also ranked high on the list.

The telephone survey of 402 Utahns was conducted by Light House Research in coordination with the downtown-based agency, Richter 7, who generously donated their time to direct and compile the research data.
