Design Week

Salt Lake Design Week (SLDW) is a community celebration of Salt Lake City area design. Entering its fourth year this October 13-18, SLDW provides a forum for local designers and the general public to interact, collaborate, and learn from each other, in order to support a stronger creative community.

Downtown Alliance is excited to be participating in SLDW as part of our initiative with CREATE DOWNTOWNSLC, hosting two unique events during Design Week in partership with SLDW, Church & State, InterNet Properties and UMOCA.

Church & State Open House

Thursday, October 16
5:00PM-7:00PM
370 South 300 East

Please join us for drinks and light hors d'oeuvres at Church & State, Salt Lake City’s first no-strings-attached business incubator and entrepreneur center.

Featuring 20,000 square feet of collaborative workspace and creative collision space, Church & State is a place where startups can grow and thrive without having to commit to specific investors. Our resources and community are open to all those with a relevance to the entrepreneur, and we are driven by the ethos that free exchange of ideas, experience and expertise is the key to building a dynamic, diverse entrepreneurial hub in downtown Salt Lake City.

Together with the Downtown Alliance and InterNet Properties, Church & State is proud to invite you to a special preview of our unique co-working space, entrepreneur hangout and event venue in the heart of our capital city.

Contemporary Culture in downtown SLC | UMOCA

Friday, October 17
8:00AM-9:30AM
20 South West Temple

Join the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art and cultural innovators in a breakfast  discussion about what is contemporary in downtown Salt Lake City!

Joe Evans of Nobrow Coffee Werks, Scott Gardner of Church and State Spirits and Matthew Allred of Epic Brewing will be discussing how they work collaboratively with other creative organizations such as UMOCA and Downtown Alliance to drive culture in downtown SLC. Although all three are instrumental in revolutionizing the city's beverage industry, their influence can be felt far beyond what you drink in a glass.

This event is free to attend but an RSVP is required. To RSVP please click HERE.
