ABOUT | Downtown is in the midst of a remarkable transformation with new residents, businesses and buildings shaping our urban fabric. The State of Downtown will highlight the past year’s progress and build on this momentum to ensure our continued success.

ECONOMIC BENCHMARK REPORT | The Economic benchmark report evaluates the state of downtown’s economy. The report evaluates development, employment, office leases, residential, hospitality, retail, culture, transportation and quality of life.

DOWNTOWN ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS | The Downtown Alliance announces our 2017 awards as part of the State of Downtown. These award winners are driving a dynamic and diverse community that is the regional center for culture, commerce and entertainment.

PARKING | Parking for State of Downtown will be located at City Creek east parking lot. You can access the parking from State Street, this is half a block from the Eccles Black Box entrance on Regent Street. Validation will be provided at the event. We encourage you to walk, carpool, use public transit or GREENbike. Please enter the Black Box through Regent Street (144 S Regent Street), there will be signs and staff to direct you. Check-in will be at the top of the elevators.

The 2017 State of Downtown is now SOLD OUT!

Awards will be presented to a group, company or individual who has made a significant contribution to downtown, helping to build a more dynamic and diverse community that is the regional center for culture, commerce and entertainment. The contribution must be for accomplishments located within Salt Lake City's Central Business District (located within the boundaries of 400 South, 700 West, North Temple Street and 300 East).

Award winners may include commercial, residential and retail developers, small businesses, business associations and districts, downtown-based companies and nonprofit organizations, government organizations and officials, performing arts groups along with individual artists, musicians and other performers, sports and entertainment organizations, downtown residents, visitors, commuters and other supporters.
