MAIN STREET FIRE FUND CLOSES AFTER PROVIDING $494,000 IN RELIEF TO DISPLACED EMPLOYEES

The fund raised a total of $494,000 to cover the “missing month” of income before employees could secure new work or qualify for unemployment benefits. More than 1,600 individuals contributed, a number of small businesses hosted fundraising events, and major gifts were received from Matthew and Tatiana Prince, the Larry H. Miller Company, the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, the Burrell Family Foundation and the Salt Lake Chamber.
