Thierry Fischer, Utah Symphony’s Music Director Emeritus returns to conduct Mahler’s bold and bombastic Symphony #5 that will leave you blown away. Enjoy Mahler’s most famous work in the hands of our world renowned orchestra at Abravanel Hall. Tickets start at just $23.

Deal of the Week
We spotted several $11 tickets at the Delta Center for the Utah Jazz v. OKC. There are a few reasons why you should reinvest in the Jazz: the recent win over the Lakers brought oxygen into the room, rookie Isaiah Collier is outperforming, and Ryan and Ashley Smith’s $1.6B purchase of the franchise is now worth $3.75B, meaning they will continue to invest heavily for future outcomes. But for now, enjoy $11 tickets.

Dusty Slay’s parents divorced when he was two years old. He grew up in a trailer park in Opelika, Alabama with his older sisters and mother. So, it sounds like he has plenty of source material for his stand-up comedy performance at Capitol Theatre at 7pm.

You read the books, you saw the movie, now see Dog Man: The Musical. The triple threat phenomenon from the bestselling author Dave Pilkey comes to Eccles for just two shows, tickets start at $30.

Introspective, philosophical, with fuzzy post-rock textures, Mount Eerie, AKA Phil Elverum brings his melodies to Soundwell for what should be a contemplative show. 8:00pm, $25

Tucked away on the second floor of Nordstroms in City Creek Center is the Grill. It is a secret and cozy perch. Both bustling and subdued, it’s a solid location for power lunching. In fact, we were told the Governor had recently eaten in our booth. Salmon nicoise salad was a healthy and filling selection with tons of flavor from red potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, olives, capers, and a herb crust on the salmon, and finished with a dijon balsamic vinaigrette.

We’ve been surprised by how many people haven’t discovered or known about the Grill and our table would heartily recommend a visit to the uninitiated!

11am-7pm, Reservations are recommended.
