A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

500 worldclass artists from around the world converge on the Salt Palace for a wild bacchanal of artistry and creativity at the Salt Lake Tattoo Expo. Fri, Sat, Sun, $25.

We love performing art performances that come with a content warning!
That’s because Pagliacci has it all: comedy, murder, love triangles, secret romances, and–at its heart–gorgeous and sumptuous music. Utah Opera performs this tragic opera at Capitol Theatre for just five performances!

The Downtown Farmers Market will be closed next week for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, so attend this Saturday for abundant eggs, bread, and shrooms!

Seattle-native Lathan Moses Stanley Echols is making a name for himself as Lil Mosey and his style of mumble rap. At just 23, he has started his own record label and has his goals set for a Grammy this year. Soundwell, 8pm, $27.

We pride ourselves on knowing what’s going on in our neighborhood. So, we were surprised to learn every single day the Tabernacle at Temple Square has free daily organ recitals at 2:30 Saturday and Sunday and noon Monday through Friday. Today, hear the 11,623 pipes ring out Johann Sebastian Bach under the fingers of guest organist Kenneth Udy.

Arempas serves up your favorite Venezuelan cuisine like empanadas, arepas, and cachapas. The secret sauce is, well, the sauce.   Our favorite is chimichurri (everywhere and always), and we mixed it up a bit with the garlic and avocado sauces. They have other Venezuelan dishes too.  Plus sodas, Malta, Fescolita, or a selection of cervezas. Arempas is a popular late night stop and is open (and LIVELY) until 3am Friday and Saturday nights.
