A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

Wicked has been a Broadway smash for more than 22 years and is especially flying high this year. The international, multi-platformed juggernaut steamrolls into the Eccles Theater today for almost 50 shows over five weeks. Seats are available, and yes, tickets are expensive–but, they are more expensive on resale sites, so only buy from Arttix

The creative minds at Utah Arts Alliance have mounted the fourth iteration of Dreamscapes, an interactive, fully immersive, whimsical environment at The Gateway. Over 100 artists and builders worked to create forests, caves, and otherworldly rooms that turn dreams into reality. (Closed Mondays, $16.99)

Stroll down North Temple through Salt Lake’s newest art walk, Hidden Waters.  Seven Canyons Trust and The Blocks Arts District have curated a public art installation celebrating Salt Lake’s City Creek that is buried underfoot. Find out more about the Artists!

Trevor Dahl, explaining his addition to Hidden Waters.

For 12 years, Daniel Charon has cast his patina on the Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, advancing international works, and staging his own topical world premieres. He steps down this year, but first produces Re-Act which will feature From Code to Universe, his final work on the Company.

Dance is a universal language, so it seems fitting that the State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine is presenting Sleeping Beauty at the Capitol Theatre. From a bit of research (Ahem, Youtube), this universal fairy tale is told through world-class dancers, exquisite costuming, and larger-than-life sets. (One night only, tickets start at just $39)

From Eyes Wide Shut to X-Men Mozart’s Requiem has been used to evoke a sense of dread and solemnity across pop culture. Enjoy the Utah Symphony and the emotional and powerful impact of this work at Abravanel Hall Friday and Saturday.

It is the final Downtown Farmers Market at The Gateway! Just six weeks until farmers and ranchers return to Pioneer Park! Yippee. But, in the meantime, stock up on your favorites for one last Market at The Gateway, 10-2.

A restaurant devoted to nachos?
🤯 A restaurant devoted to nachos😊😊😊.

Over a shared plate at Nacho Daddy, we asked a friend if there was a better one-plate meal than the lowly nacho? The friend retorted sushi or soup. Sure, those are good and can be a full meal, but you’re not going to have as much fun to eat and enjoy with friends.

We love fingering our way through that pile of carbs to find the perfect chip, drenched in cheese and bejeweled with toppings. We shared the spicy shrimp nachos, which offered plenty for two and we’ll return soon for an enchilada nacho, chicken tinga nacho, and oh, let’s just admit it–all of them–which will take some time considering the dozens of options. We’re good with that.

We want to feature your fun!
