A CURATED CALENDAR FOR THE CURIOUS SLC EXPLORER
See full event listings at The Blocks Arts District

A bestselling book, award winning movie, and three Tony Awards, The Life of Pi is at  Eccles, for seven shows. We’ve heard the adaptation for stage is exquisite with gorgeous visuals and inventive puppetry in the form of that very lifelike lion.

From screamo rock to American Idol heartthrobs, there are shows for every taste Downtown this weekend. Check out The Blocks Arts District to find your yum!

Harmons is firing up their Downtown cooking school with some spec-taco-lar classes! This week they have deep dives into Korean Bibimbap, Thai, and Mexican street tacos. Check out their full calendar.

The Utah Hockey Club (When do we find out the new name?) is playing three games at home this week. Los Angeles tonight, Winnipeg Saturday, and the Seattle Kraken on Sunday. And while that last one will certainly be a sell-out, we see tickets for just $40 right now.

The Rite of Spring staged by Ballet West is ferocious dancing. When the 35 minute piece is over, dancers will be drenched in sweat–it's that animalistic and athletic. The Company last performed this work nine years ago and we still think about it. Tickets are as low as $29, Capitol Theatre.

Local dance troupe, Samba Fogo presents Dancestral, which explores Afro-Brazilian music and dance traditions. Expect high-energy, bright and beautiful costuming, rich Portuguese lyrics, and a live orchestra. Rose Wagner, 7:30pm

Is there anything more luxurious than lollygagging over a long leisure lunch? Our friend  suggested The Ivy for just such an occasion this past Saturday. Lovely service, loquacious chatter, dreamy libations, and legitimately great dishes.  And, if you’re more of a night owl, Varley, next door is presenting Coco Cabana, a jungle disco pop-up.

We want to feature your fun!
