Czechoslovakian artistry is highlighted during Czech That Film at Salt Lake Film Society’s Broadway Centre Cinema. This mini festival features a documentary on Czech graphic designers who have shaped the world, Living Large, a claymation about a 12-year-old trying to get the girl and The Dry Season, a familiar tale of two star-crossed lovers with feuding families. Tuesday and Wednesday.
Start easing into the weekend early at Bambara’s with Wine Wednesdays. From 4-10pm, enjoy four flights for just $15.(Go crazy, combine that with a $20 cheese board!)
The United States Air Force Band and the Singing Sergeants are on a rare tour across the southwest. Besides the obligatory John Suiza, they also do a lot of Broadway, who knew? See them at the Tabernacle at Temple Square for free 7-9pm
The Delta Center invited artists from The Blocks Arts District to create scenes during recent basketball and hockey games. Today, those works are for sale and fans are invited for a free public pop-up gallery 6-8. DJ Joune plays the beats–drinks and eats included.
The ebullient up-and-coming dancers of Ballet West II perform Aladdin at Capitol Theater. Bring the kids for this magic carpet ride that is just 90 minutes and includes narration. Also, narration will be in Spanish on March 29 at 7pm.
The Downtown Farmers Market returns this Saturday to The Gateway. Head down for all your March Madness needs! I.e. Chips and salsa, bread for sandos, maybe some baked goods, and definitely some spiced nuts! The Gateway 10-2.
We started listening to corook a few months ago. We were looking for emotionally light tunes and their childlike wonder hit the spot. They are a leader of a frog hat wearing queer cult who has become a viral sensation through heartwrenching storytelling and perfectly catchy melodies. Soundwell, $20.
We want to feature your fun!
